StrideFest - Making Comics
Whether you have lots of experience in writing and drawing or none, there is a place for YOU in comics! Come and learn about this magnificent medium through a series of introductory exercises and playful experiments. Together, we will make mini zines filled with your unique comics and ideas. All supplies provided and no previous experience required. Just bring your imagination and curiosity!
Design Your Own Tarot Card
Are you interested in the symbolism and imagery of tarot? Join this workshop, where we'll draw, collage, cut, and pattern our own tarot card! We'll start with an introduction to the Major Arcana and four suits of a standard tarot deck. We will explore a handful of different decks to understand the meaning behind the symbols and images. You'll then be ready to design your own guiding card.
Japanese Stab Binding
Learn the beautiful art of Japanese stab binding, a decorative and easy way to handsew your own books and zines. We'll learn the basic stitch pattern first, then have the opportunity to create a beautiful personal notebook with a decorative stitch. All supplies provided and any skill level welcome.
